Gwendolyn B. Bland Day Care Center is a pre-school that offers an excellent educational curriculum designed to improve and enhance a child's mental, social, cognitive and emotional skills. These skills are important for the next stage of their development, especially when they enter elementary school. Each classroom contains no more than 24 children and 3 teachers. Our center is open year-round, including summer and has less holidays and days off than public schools.
We are located at 749 East 163rd Street, Bronx, NY 10456 in the center of the Forest Housing complex. Our cross streets are Tinton Avenue and Trinity Avenue.

By Bus: Take the BX 6 bus to Tinton Avenue/163rd Street. Enter housing complex and come around play yard to our entrance. You may also take the BX 17 bus to E. 163rd Street/Prospect Avenue. Walk 2 blocks down E. 163rd Street. Once you pass Tinton Avenue, walk to next light, enter complex on right. Follow around yard on right side. Entrance is on left. Also close to BX 15 and BX 55 bus (exit at E. 163rd Street, walk on E. 163rd Street up hill. Complex is on left)
By Train: Take #2 or #5 train to Prospect Avenue. Walk down Prospect Avenue to E. 163rd Street, turn left. Walk 2 blocks down E. 163rd Street. Once you pass Tinton Avenue, walk to next light, enter complex on right.
By Car: Please use mapquest or google maps to obtain door to door directions.
